Thrift for a cause
We’re a community-powered thrift store turning preloved clothing into second chances for women & children.
Together we’ve raised $60,000 for My Friend’s House.
What We Do
Common Thread is a nonprofit thrift store that supports My Friend’s House, our local women & children’s shelter. We collect, curate, and sell secondhand clothing to raise funds, provide community care, and offer second chances — one outfit at a time.
We are a social enterprise, not a registered charity.
How to Get Involved
Donate Clothing: We accept gently used clothing and accessories for women, men and kids. Clothing must be clean and in excellent condition (no rips or stains). Donations are accepted at our receiving door located at the back of our building. Ring our doorbell and one of our friendly volunteers will assist you. * We accept clothing Tues to Sat.
Volunteer With Us: Help us sort, style, or staff the store — or lend a hand at events. We welcome volunteers ages 14+. Volunteer shifts are 2 hrs weekly. We use a volunteer scheduling app so it is easy to book or reschedule a shift. * Please note we currently have a volunteer waitlist.
Shop With Us: At Common Thread you can expect one of a kind fashion finds and quality brand name clothing and accessories. We uphold a high quality resale standard and have new items arriving daily. Our goal is to provide a feel-good thrift experience. We are open for shopping Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm. Our store is closed Sundays & Mondays.
Your support makes real impact here.
Since opening our store in October 2025, we’ve raised a total of $60,000 for our local women & children’s shelter.
